The Lake of the Ozarks winds around five main areas:
Versailles, Eldon, Lake West, Lake Area and Camdenton.

 Versailles
This is the northern-most area of the Lake of the Ozarks. Highway 5 takes you further into Lake Ozark.

 Eldon
Eldon is the northeastern side of the Lake Ozark area. Highway 54 follows from Eldon through Osage Beach, Lake Area, and into Camdenton.

 Lake West
The western side of Lake Ozark, Lake West, is home to Gravois Mills, Laurie, Sunrise Beach, Hurricane Deck and Greenview. Highway 5 runs through Lake West.

 Lake Area
The eastern area of Lake Ozark, (also known as Osage Beach), is home to Four Seasons, Kaiser, and Lake of the Ozarks State Park. Highway 54 runs through Lake Area.

 Camdenton
Ha Ha Tonka State Park as well as Linn Creek and Macks Creek are in the southern area of Lake Ozarks Camdenton area. The junction of Highway 5 and Highway 54 is in the heart of the Camdenton area.
